There is a buzz surrounding Dunki, with speculations suggesting it might be a remake of the Malayalam movie CIA (Comrade in America). CIA, directed by Amal Neerad in 2017, delved into themes of love, identity, and political activism.
On this backdrop a video of SRK walking through a crowd and angrily pushing someone away is going viral on social media, with the claim that Shahrukh Khan slapped a fan in the crowd, who shouted that “Dunki” is a remake of a Malayalam movie.
The caption states, “This is Bizarre!! #SRK was seen slapping a fan when someone from crowd shouted that #Dunki is a remake of 2017 Malayalam movie #CIA No matter how much famous you get, never play with the emotions of Fans”.

We conducted a keyword and reverse image search on Google and whose results led us to a similar video uploaded on a YouTube channel named
FilmiBeat on 19 September 2016. The title of the video mentions, “Shahrukh Khan gets angry, pushes away fan in Amsterdam”. The description states “Shahrukh Khan pushes away a fan in Amsterdam during The Ring Shooting. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan usually treats his fans with love and warmth, but recently, the King Khan displayed his ‘angry’ side while shooting for The Ring in Amsterdam. Now this video is going viral on social media”.
In further search we came across an extended version of the video published by the Movie Talkies on 19 September 2016 with a title “Fan CRIES After Shahrukh Khan Insults & Pushes Him In Public”
We also found several media reports about this incident published in September 2016. According to the Deccan Chronicle, “Shah Rukh Khan, who is currently shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s ‘The Ring’ in Amsterdam, recently got into scuffle with a fan who tried to misbehave with him. As SRK stepped out to get to his car, a huge crowd of fans gathered around to catch a glimpse of the actor. In a video that found its way on the internet, we see the actor cutting through the crowd, guarded by his security when suddenly a fan tried to grab SRK by his neck. Shocked by the incident, SRK instantly pushed the fan away. Soon, Shah Rukh’s bodyguard took control of the situation and rushed the actor away from the crowd towards his car.”
In addition, we discovered a video of the fan who was pushed away by SRK apologising for his misbehaviour .The video was shared back in September 2016. Taking account of these evidences we can clearly understand that an old video of a seven-year-old incident was falsely linked to Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming movie “Dunki”.
