The singer in the viral video is Jonita Gandhi, a Canadian playback singer of Indian origin. Not Priyanka Gandhi’s daughter.

A video of a singer sitting opposite to an interviewer singing songs in various languages ​ with effortless ease as requested by the interviewer has gone viral on social media. Users who share the image claim that the singer is the daughter of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

The caption of the viral post states, “Priyanka Gandhi’s daughter sings different Indian language songs”.

Fact Check- 

At the top of the viral video, a logo of BehindwoodsCold can be seen. When we searched a longer version of this interview is available on the YouTube page. According to the video the name of the singer was Jonita Gandhi. Some other video shorts of Jonita are also provided on this channel.  

In further search we found Jonita Gandhi’s Instagram page. It includes photographs and videos of her. According to her Instagram page, she performs stage shows in various languages ​​including Hindi. 

When we looked into the internet for further information about the singer, we discovered that Jonita Gandhi is a Canadian playback singer of Indian descent. She has recorded songs predominantly in Hindi and Tamil languages with few in Punjabi, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Kannada and Malayalam languages. 

Some of her most acclaimed songs include The Breakup Song, Mental Manadhil, Chellama and Arabic Kuthu. She is also well known for her YouTube presence. Her singing debut started through Chennai Express title track (in 2013).Jonita was born in a Punjabi family from Delhi. 

Jonita is the daughter of Deepak Gandhi and Sneh Gandhi who immigrated to Canada when she was nine months old, where she was raised. She has had formal training in Western and Hindustani classical singing.She grew up around music as both her father and brother were part time musicians. 

She worked as a playback singer with music directors including A. R. Rahman and Pritam. Rahman featured Gandhi in the concert film One Heart (film). As a part of IPL 2023 closing ceremony, Jonita gave her musical performance at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahamedabad.

None of the information available about Jonita suggests that she was related to the Nehru family in any way. Jonita has also never claimed that she belongs to the Nehru family. 

Next, we searched for Priyanka Gandhi’s daughter. Priyanka Gandhi’s daughter’s name is Miraya Vadra many pictures of Miraya are available on internet. She has social media accounts but is not active in any of them.
