Old video from Croatia shared as Sri Rudra stotra chanting in the White House

This video was taken during an event hosted by The European Veda Association in Croatia in 2018.

A video has gone viral on social media stating that a ‘Sri Rudram Stotra’ recital was held at the White House in the United States. The video shows foreigners wearing traditional Indian costumes, setting up a beautiful colourful display, lighting lamps and reciting Vedic mantras reverentially. The caption of the viral video states, “Shri Rudram Stotram was recited at the White House in America. It is impossible to imagine that Americans can pronounce it so cleanly. Is it a great pride? “Sri Rudram Stotram” was recited by Jeffrey Arhardt at the White House. Close your eyes and listen quietly. Very awesome video”.

Fact Check- 

We conducted a reverse image search using one of the video’s key frames and discovered that it has been available on the Internet for the past four years. Swami Paripoornananda’s Facebook page uploaded this video in 2018. The video is from Croatia, according to the information in the caption. It states “Shri Rudram and Chamakam performed by 400+ Europeans in Croatia. The European Veda association would be performing this across many places in Europe for world peace”.

Organized by the European Vedic Association, more than 400 Europeans recited Sri Rudra Stotram. Information about this program is provided on the website of the European Vedic Association. The event was held in Zagreb, Croatia from 3rd to 4th March 2018.

Conclusion-

Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the viral video to be False. This Rudra Stotra recital was not held at the White House. An old video of the event in Croatia is going viral with false claims.
