The video is being shared with the caption, “Please spread this information about energy drinks and save their lives! Anyone who sees this will never have an energy drink ever again. No wonder people get sick!!!!!
Fact Check-
On reverse image search of the key frames of the video, a longer video with similar visuals was found published by a YouTube channel in 2020. This YouTube channel published the video describing it as a parody magic video by Rick Lax. He is performing several magic hacks like this in the video.
Further we searched for more evidences using relevant keywords, we discovered the same video on Rick Lax’s official Facebook page. Rick Lax, a magician and content developer for the US-based company Network Media, posted the video with the title “ENERGY DRINK HACKS YOU’VE NEVER SEEN! (Amazing ‘Magic Hacks’ from Rick Lax)”. Rick Lax emphasises in the description that this is a prank magic video.
He identifies himself as a ‘magician’ and has several prank/magic videos uploaded on his profile. A few other magic prank videos published by Rick Lax can be seen here and here.
While this video shows about the ill-effects of energy drinks is false, there are
some medical research studies confirmed that energy drinks can cause serious health conditions, particularly in children, teenagers and youth.
