A video of a lady arguing with a bus driver over the driver’s seat is going popular on social media. In the viral video, how many times does the bus driver instruct the woman to get out of the driver’s seat, but the woman refuses. The post claims that the incident occurred in Rajasthan and is a true story.
The caption of the video states “A lady and her bahu get into a crowded bus in Rajasthan. The mother gets a seat. The bahu too searches for one, sees the driver’s seat vacant and occupies it. When the driver comes and asks the lady to vacate his seat, she tells him to go behind and sit wherever. When he says, he has to drive the bus, she asks him to drive from any other seat. Her mother in law too supports her. Real incident captured. Enjoy”
Fact Check-
A Google reverse image search using the key frames from the viral video led us to a Facebook page, which was uploaded in July 2020 stating that it is a specially shot video.
We can see a person behind the camera, possibly the director, providing directions for the shoot. Actors are also observed behaving in accordance with this person’s orders. Video published profile Neta Tarar Bishnoi ‘s mobile number is accessible in the video description.
When we contacted him, he explained to us that “I ‘m a digital creator. We shot this for fun. This has been mentioned in the video posted.” When we searched using this clue, we found many of their videos. Videos are made for entertainment. These are always described as unreal. From this video only some portions clipped and shared in a misleading way.
In further search we found the full video uploaded on YouTube in 2020 which identifies itself as a Rajasthani Comedy short film. The title and description also include the name of the lead actress, Hema Prajapat.
Keeping this in mind, we conducted additional search and found that Hema Prajapat has acted in several other short films that involve mother-in-law and daughter-in-law comedy scenarios, including some that feature the other actress (Kamla Solanki) seen in the viral video. A few of them can be seen here and here.
Conclusion
Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the viral video to be Misleading. The video is actually a scene from a Rajasthani comedy short film starring actress Hema Prajapat and does not depict any real incident.
