The viral video explaining how to increase blood circulation through head tapping exercise has nothing to do with Tata Memorial Hospital. The video is from an acupressure clinic in Hyderabad.

A video of teaching tapping exercises and explaining the benefits of tapping exercises around various parts of the body is being widely circulated on social media.In the 2minute 40 seconds video, the practitioner is seeing with a group of ladies that have come to perform and practice tapping exercises. The lady is seeking to explain the benefits of exercise like headache, migraine problem, the focus of mind, and sinus problem. The video has been claimed to be from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai and people are sharing it with a caption- “Tata Memorial Hospital. Request everyone to watch the above video without deleting it.”

Fact Check-

A reverse Image search for video key frames turned up a Facebook page that had posted the same video. This is the Facebook page of an acupressure clinic in Hyderabad. Om Sairam Perfect Health Consultant and Dietician Clinic founder Dr. Manisha is the woman in the footage. This page contains many videos of Manisha instructing people in the clinic on exercises.

According to the webpage, it is a comprehensive healthcare services organisation based in Hyderabad. Dr. Manisha, a dietician from Hyderabad, founded the clinic in 1995. More information about Dr. Manisha and Om Sairam Perfect Health Clinic is available on her page.

When we contacted the clinic’s phone number, Sharad, Dr. Manisha’s husband and head of the institution, said: “Dr. Manisha is seen in the viral video footage and this video was filmed in our clinic. The video is unrelated to Tata Memorial Hospital.”

Tapping exercise, also known as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), is an alternative treatment for physical and emotional distress. Studies have shown that this exercise can help relieve various types of chronic pain.
