Edited video shared as India-Pak fans dancing to a ‘Jai Shri Ram’ song.

The original video shows India- Pak fans dancing to Sukhbir Singh’s famous song Ishq Tera Tadpave and not to ‘Jai Shri Ram’. The video is Edited.

Despite the fact that India and Pakistan are archrivals on the cricket field, the Melbourne Cricket Ground recently witnessed joyous fans from both sides dancing to popular songs. When India and Pakistan played the T20 cricket match on 23 October 2022. 

Amidst this, a video showing Indian and Pakistani cricket fans dancing together while a ‘Jai Shri Ram’ song plays in the background is being shared on social media to claim that everyone was enjoying this song outside the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) . 

The YouTube shorts going viral with the description “The Unity at MCG || Dance on Jai Sri Ram, India Pak Friendship #indvspak #mcgw #jaishreeram #ram”

Fact Check

We began our investigation by conducting a reverse image search on Google with the screen shot of the viral YouTube shorts, which led us to a tweet with the visuals of the same viral video accompanying with Sukhbir Singh’s Ishq Tera Tadpave song beginning with Taare gin gin.

The tweet reads “This is hilarious! Three nations one passion, third nation is Punjabi they are enjoying more without flags”

Many Facebook users also shared the same video. 

Taking a hint from these videos, we found media reports that confirmed the song. You can read about it here.

Ishq Tera Tadpave is a popular song by Indian singer Sukhbir Singh, released in 1999. We reviewed Sukhbir Singh’s Instagram page and found this reel there with original song. Watch it down below.

The watermark indicates that it is a TikTok video uploaded by Shanail Malik.

When we contacted Shanail Malik, who confirmed that the video was recorded and uploaded by him with Sukhbir’s Ishq tera Tadpave in the background on his TikTok account where it has 3.2 million views now. 

Many videos of Indian and Pakistani fans dancing outside the Melbourne Cricket Ground surfaced on YouTube, but they did not dance to ‘Jai Shri Ram.’ 

As a result, we can clearly see that the viral video has been edited to include ‘Jai Shri Ram’ in the background.

Conclusion-

Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the viral video to be digitally altered; the original video shows India- Pak fans dancing to Sukhbir Singh’s famous song Ishq Tera Tadpave. Thus, the viral video has been edited to include ‘Jai Shri Ram’ in the background.
